What to Expect When You Call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline
You will hear a brief recorded greeting welcoming you to the lifeline.
There will be music on the line while you are directed to your local lifeline center.
You will then be connected to a live, local counselor who can assist you immediately.
If needed, your counselor may refer you to the nearest mental health facility in your area for in-person assistance.
